This photo series, A Place I Never Knew, is about her family's ancestral home in a Muslim-majority city in India. The photographs are currently on view at the Boston Athenaeum, a historic, independent library in Boston. On Thursday, Feb. 2 she will be speaking with Laura Weinstein, the Ananda Coomaraswamy Curator of South Asian and Islamic Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
Images from the series were selected into the Indian Photo Festival and have been published in Vogue India, and The Boston Globe, among other places. The series is held in Boston Athenaeum's private collection.
