Where the devil died of thirst (2020 - Ongoing)
For more than ten years, Chile's central zone has been experiencing a mega-drought phenomenon. In addition to climate change, the Chilean water management model, set up during Pinochet' dictatorship and based on privatization oriented towards productive activities, has contributed to this situation. In Petorca province, Valparaíso Region, the avocado industry established by the neoliberal model in the 90s has made water even more scarce, causing the main rivers to dry up and changing the locals' lives. "Where the devil died of thirst" is an ongoing photographic project that documents the socio-environmental impact caused by agribusiness in Petorca province and the sustainable alternatives that the community is developing to face extractivism.

Donde el diablo murió de sed (2020 - En proceso)
Desde hace más de diez años, la zona central de Chile, experimenta una situación de mega sequía. Además del cambio climático, a la falta de agua ha contribuido el actual modelo de gestión de aguas chileno, instaurado en la dictadura de Pinochet y basado en la privatización orientado a actividades productivas. En la provincia de Petorca, Región de Valparaíso, la industria aguacatera implantada en los años 90 con el modelo neoliberal, agudizó la escasez hídrica, haciendo que los ríos Ligua y Petorca se quedaran sin agua y modificando los modos de vida de los habitantes y pequeños campesinos. “Donde el diablo murió de sed” es un proyecto fotográfico en proceso que documenta el impacto socio ambiental provocado por la agroindustria y las alternativas que la comunidad está desarrollando para hacer frente al extractivismo.
