STORY SUMMARY: Like many newspapers, The Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News have seen print revenues and demand dwindle as the media industry becomes increasingly digital. Less than 30 years after opening a massive new printing plant, The Inquirer decided to sell the facility and outsource operations. For the employees, many of whom had worked for the paper for decades, it was the end of an era.
