When you are driving around in Texas, you may notice a large structure that usually displays the name of the town or a sports team; these are water towers. While Texas has many lakes and rivers, when the demand for fresh water is in need, these water towers kick in to provide communities and businesses with that water. Currently, Texas is seeing a high demand for fresh water, and as more people move to this state, the need grows higher. For example, Dallas, Texas, is expecting to grow in the millions in population by 2030. With this sizeable gross population, the water demand will rise.
In 2021, research to bring water to Texans will be ongoing.
