Epidermolysis bullosa, also called "butterfly disease", is a group of rare inherited skin diseases that are characterized by the development of blisters following minimal pressure to the skin. In the Republic of Moldova there are about 50 people with this disease. They are not recognized by the government, nor does the government know anything about them. Eugen Brad, a Moldovan citizen who has a critical case of EB, wanted to change this situation. He founded an organization, Debra Moldova, that aims to unite people with this disease in order to discuss the problems they face, and advise how to endure the difficult situations in which they find themselves.
