The six artists in Unbroken Current dive deeply into their respective narratives, ranging from imagined utopias or dystopias, to personal and contemporary, to ancestral and post-colonial. The work investigates personal and cultural identity, social justice, and history through the lens of photography, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. It weaves history through contemporary events like an unbroken current, from a combination of disparate histories and cultures that shape the artists as individuals.
