I am a Dubai based photographer covering the Middle East since 1993. Born in Sweden, raised between Pakistan, Turkey and North America before starting my career in the Middle-East over thirty years ago, I hope my deep insights into the contrasting cultures of my upbringing are brought to bear in my work.
I work across a multitude of editorial and commercial genres, and have delivered multi-national campaigns for a broad spectrum of world-leading private and public sector enterprises.
My work is regularly published in The New York Times and other leading newspapers and magazines.
Clients include global advertising and branding agencies, major corporations and the governments of the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Jordan, Yemen and Afghanistan.
I regularly exhibit personal and editorial work and I mentor young photographers. Much of my work is documenting the UAE’s growth and I have a huge archive of negatives and transparencies of this period starting from 1993.
Today I live in Dubai with my husband and two (almost teenage kids) and we spend summers in a cabin in the forests of Sweden.
