Descending to the very gates of hell and fighting for each breath of air, while with their bare hands they pull off pieces of yellow rock, always hanging on the direction of the wind so as not to end up covered by that cloud of toxic gases. More than 200 men, breathing through a wet rag stuffed into their mouths and using an iron bar as their only tool, extract sulfur from inside a volcano on the island of Java.
