Scout Film Festival 2022 Emerging Filmmakers Grant - Aged 19 to 24

An opportunity for emerging filmmakers worldwide aged 19 to 24 to receive $5,000 cash for the completion of a new short film project or work in progress. For the fourth year, this grant is sponsored by American director and screenwriter Colin Trevorrow, known for the indie film Safety Not Guaranteed (2012) and the blockbuster hit Jurassic World. Jurassic World: Dominion, the third chapter in the JW trilogy, is set to release June 10, 2022.

About the Grant
Scout is thrilled to announce the open call for the 2022 Emerging Filmmakers Grants. 

As part of Scout's Career Development Program, in partnership with, this open call is an opportunity for two emerging filmmakers to receive $5,000 in cash for the completion of a new short film or work in progress in one of two separate age categories; 18 and under or 19 to 24.

The mission of the Grant is to 1) recognize diverse emerging filmmakers aged 24 and under from around the world; 2) support a recently completed short film or work in progress; 3) connect filmmakers with key industry leaders worldwide; and, 4) support the next generation of filmmakers.
Deadline: September 23, 2022


$5,000 cash will be presented to one winner aged 19 to 24.
