Andony Suprème lives in Mirebalais, Haiti, and makes Pate, a type of fried puff pastry enjoyed for breakfast. He started making the breakfast food by himself, but now runs a business of four people. In the Central Plateau, most live on less than $2 / day. But for the pate maker, that is not enough. Receiving only a 6th grade education, he has worked many small side jobs trying to support his family. But cooking is his passion. He wants to see his business grow, and to help employ his community.
