The series focuses on the young generation of the Guna indigenous in Panama islands, while their environment is undergoing a new process of modernization along with a climatic threat that will probably force them to leave their home islands for the mainland in the future. The islands, also known as San Blas, where about 30,000 Guna live, include about 365 islands stretching along northern Panama in the Caribbean Sea. Only 50 of them are inhabited. According to the residents, the islands are shrinking dramatically as the sea level rises, which means that they will have to deal with the threat in a way that can protect their community heritage and ensure that immigration ultimately preserves their language and culture, which is already in decline.
