December 2018 witnessed demonstrations in several Sudanese cities. Atbara city which is located Southeatern Sudan sparked off peacful protests, repudating rising cost of living, lack of health care, lack of fuel, and cash,as well as corruption and high inflation rates.the protestors werecalling for the rsignation of president Omer AlBashir`s resignation for better future. On 6 April  2019 the protestors arrived to the Army Headquarter and started the sit-in.In 3 June the sit-in was ended up by force by a horrible masacre on 3 June 2019 were thousands were killed, raped, tortured ,and injured while others were thrown alive in the Nile and many protestors are still missing. My first participation in a demonstration was a draining experience for me as fear from getting arrested and tortured by the security frces kept me on toes.My family and husband did not allow me to join the protests because I am a mother of two,I decided to join the protest .It was hard to photograph while running and hiding from the authorities. When the sit-in at  the Army Headquarter has begun it became a routine to me .My lens chronicled the most important event that happened in Sudan and everthing happened around me.I think my career and work in general reflects the value of Anjia Niederinghause in telling humanity stories and deep commitment to photography.
