Born on Long Island, Max Novick spent his high school years commuting to the city to work on sets ranging from student films to major Hollywood productions
After graduating from Long Island High School for the Arts and starting his degree in film at NYU Tisch, Max interned at The Weinstein Company, Ben Stiller’s Red Hour, James Schamus’ Symbolic Exchange, and Bleecker Street while directing shorts, commercials, music videos, and a play. At the same time, Max began investigating his Jewish roots and learned Hebrew to begin studying in traditional Talmudic Yeshivas and learning the Jewish traditions of personal development.
An award-winning director, Max aspires to tell meaningful character-driven stories built on classic Hollywood genres infused with ancient Jewish self-development and spirituality insights.
