LaBoriVogue: a tool for collective liberation and social justice
LaBoriVogue is a space born from the need for celebration, a collective and individual celebration of the body that manifests itself through the exploration and transformation of bodily expression.
This space of practice uses vogue as an agent of individual transformation and collective justice. Edrimael Delgado Reyes (pronouns: he/them), founder of LaBoriVogue, is an interdisciplinary artist, cultural worker and dancer who explores forms of reconciliation between queer and Afro-Caribbean identities through performance and community practices.
"This is a space to embrace you, which is what we just need, to have that space to share that love that is so much denied to us outside and we share it through our talent," said Delgado Reyes.
