"The absence of traffic lights after hurricane Maria complicated the day to day of a country that has been under the grip of total dependency of private vehicles. 1,075 days after the storm, there are still traffic lights that have not been repaired, and neither FEMA nor the DTOP have provided data on how many are damaged"
This is my most recent work for the Center for Investigative Journalism (CPI). Ráfael René Díaz, investigated the issue of damaged traffic lights in the town of Bayamón since the passing of hurricane Maria. This report is part of an investigative series "Los Chavos de María" that monitors the recovery in Puerto Rico.
