This series of pictures started under the hard lockdown in Milano, the capital of the worst-affected Italian region for coronavirus, and ended with the national easing restrictions of June 3th. It shows biological stains at night, in private, public and work places considered to be at the highest risk of contagion for coronavirus according to the international scientific community standards.

We made visible the invisible, using a multi-spectrum light (usually a tool for scientific police corps on crime scenes, we rented from a supplier in Rome) to show what escapes the human eye. This doesn’t mean we are able to reveal places, objects or people that are virulences enough for human transmission, more widely we’re revealing traces such as saliva, sweat, fingerprints, feces, urine and some chemicals on daily life objects and public places.

With an alternative visual representation of daily life under the coronavirus, our aim is to stimulate a wider discussion on the psychological effects of the pandemic and how it shaped our personal, private, working and public sphere.
