Fighting Cocks

Reza Golchin

Fighting cocks are roosters that participate in the blood sport of cockfighting (Acockfightis a blood sport between two roosters (cocks), or more accurately gamecocks, held in a ring called a cockpit or in open places). In a cockfight, two roosters fight each other to the death while people place bets. The cocks fight until ultimately one of them dies or is critically injured.
These roosters are called Lari roosters(Khoros Lari). Their homeland is Persia (Iran & Afghanistan). The rooster can get as tall as 60-90 Centimeters and weigh 4-6 Kilograms. They are very aggressive birds and in their original country, they are used as fighting roosters.
