Dry and burned forests. Fires in the Iberá region, second largest wetland in Latin America, have caused the disappearance of more than 50% of the wetland, threatening the habitat of unique endangered species. The magnitude of the damage is enormous, since not only is an environment that functions as a natural carbon sink being destroyed, but we are also losing a future tool to better adapt to the new climate scenario.
