Sebastian Lemme is a photographer and sociological researcher based in Bielefeld, Germany. He worked as a doctoral researcher at the Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology and his dissertation project focused on German self-images and contemporary representations of otherness in visual media coverage between 2006 and 2015. In the last few years he have also been doing documentary and street photography and was involved in several media projects.

He is specifically interested in the sociological perspective of photography, political communication and visual culture as well as in stories about belonging, freedom of movement, migration, racism, political protests and far right politics in Europe and the United States.
