Dear Community,

Lauri Lyons and Patt Gunn of the Center for Jubilee, Healing and Reconciliation are honored to spread the word about the Rest with Honor Savannah Initiative to remove the Confederate names from an African burial ground in Savannah, Georgia. Please listen to our new interview with Reverend Robert Lee IV for his podcast Beloved Journal.

Listen: https://belovedjournal.com/podcast/rest

Reverend Robert Lee IV is a direct descendant of Confederate General Robert E. Lee, the leader of the Confederate Army during the American Civil War, and the premier Confederate icon. As the descendant of a slave owner and Confederate general, Reverend Robert Lee IV continuously speaks out against the Confederacy and racism. His actions prove "heritage" is no longer an excuse to honor racism, terrorism, and genocide.

We are happy to bring truth to the forefront of the conversation about the Savannah African Burial Ground and the history surrounding it. Please share the link with your network. Don't forget to sign our petition.

Black lives matter in the past and present!

Thank you!
