Mothering twin boys
  • Tell us more about the photo(s). What stands out to you now, looking back? Is there any additional context you’d like to share with our audience?

As I look back at the photographs I created of my twin sons from 14 months to age 3, I see them representing the light during a a time of PTSD, depression and healing as I navigated two children under 3 during a global pandemic.

  • Can you describe what it has been like being a mother? What are the challenges and triumphs, and what would you like readers to know about your experience?

Motherhood is the most rewarding and beautiful experience to be apart of, its not easy -- especially with multiples but its worth it.

  • What does motherhood mean to you?

Motherhood is letting your child use your shirt as a tissue, revolving your whole day around someone else, cleaning snacks in-between the couch cushions, having endless hugs, playing outside in the sun for hours, cleaning up dirty dishes, explaining how to eat an ice cream cone,  listening to baby shark on repeat, going to bed after working all night, waking up each day to someone calling your name.
