The US government separated a father from his 12-year-old daughter and then deported him back to Guatemala, but says he does not count as a separated parent. He’s hoping an ongoing court case can give him a second chance.

A Guatemalan family split apart by the Trump administration's family separations policy is desperately hoping the US legal system will give them a second chance — but the government argues they don't qualify for one.
