Tourists visit Higgs Memorial Beach Park at the tip of the Florida Keys in Old Town. The park is one of the few sandy spots in the area for beach goers. While the rest of Florida is known for its expansive, sandy shorelines, the Keys are lacking due to coral reefs offshore that prevent sand buildup.
