In my take on recreating sound for the drug montage scenes, I want to remix the perceived sounds we associate with addictive behavior, exaggerating the duality of comfort and violence. Beginning with the human elements, I hope to create new organic sounds to be associated with the effects of addiction. Layering foley sounds with the organic elements, I intend to find a rhythm that will eventually turn into a song. I like the original montage scene, I don’t necessarily find anything wrong with its execution. However, my goal is to push for a more human sound rather than a mechanical sound that is heard in Requiem For A Dream.
