Ester Jove Soligue (b.1978)  is a documentary photographer and photojournalist based in New York City.  In her personal work Ester explores communities who choose an unconventional and daring way of living. She also is interested in Human Rights issues and has been collaborating with organizations such as American Friends Service Committee, Wind of the Spirit and NeighborWorks America. Her work has been exhibited at photo festivals, institutions and museums in Spain, France, Hungary and New York City. Ester was a recipient of the 'Ciudad de Gijón' scholarship and was selected as Emerging Talent 2011 by Getty Reportage. Ester’s work has been shown on TV3 (the public Catalan television channel) and at the Film Society Lincoln Center in New York City. She has also been published in the book Nuevas Miradas and in news outlets including the New York Times,  the Daily Mail, and in Spainthe El Salto and the Periódico Diagonal.  Her work has been showcased on The New York Times LENS blog  and on the CNN Photo blog.
Ester grew up on a farm near Barcelona. In 2008, she moved to New York City and graduated from the Documentary Photography and Photojournalism program at the International Center of Photography.
