Excerpt from book: This coffee book is a pictorial representation of our generous spirit in Uganda. Generosity is both embedded in and results from the way we do community - from our marriage ceremonies and burial rituals, to our communal activities like farming and constructing houses, to the way we receive and host guests. Another way to spell our way of living is generosity.

These are research projects where I was commissioned to use photography as a research tool to understand a social/ cultural activity. Photography was not the only research method, but working in a team or at times alone a questionnaire was used to guide the respondents and in some instances voice recordings were taken to help in academic write ups.
