This photo project shows how Ugandans creatively devised means to survive and earn a living despite the partial lockdown instituted by the government of Uganda on 18th June,2021 for forty two (42) days. Private and public vehicles, shopping malls were not allowed to open. Essential workforce such as health institutes, markets, construction, media and tourism vehicles were allowed to move. People were not allowed to move about except if jogging or going to work or markets. These photos were taken during my walks around town.
This story was inspired by a caption on the windscreen of a goods track in downtown Kampala, from which this project gets its title, bigambo bibebitono tukole bukozi (Luganda) translated to English as Let us talk less and work more.
