Pieced Together | 2020 Holiday Review

I imagine most all of us are there in our own ways, especially those who are fighting the hardest for their lives and livelihood. While I'm not fighting for my life [a privilege, mind you that many at this moment do not have], I am in the fight of my life as a woman, artist & mother for my livelihood. In the middle of the fray, things shatter, crack, break and disintegrate. It isn't until later that they are sorted through, brought together, mended, healed, and woven into something new.
As a creator, as a WOMAN, at this moment I needed to start that process. Anything to begin the process of piecing together. Because the temptation to say "f*ck it" and throw in the white towel is plentiful, but should not be succumbed to. Not ever, but especially not now.
So I gathered what fragments I could, used what I had, found a few new wonderful [cost effective!] tools in the process, and made something happen.
Because as creators and women, that's what we do. Bring things to life.
Please enjoy this review of my work throughout this year. The show will be live via the interwebs through December 31st, 2020. I know we're all tired of screens, myself included. Yet there is a relief in that resource as well. It's helping see us all through.
