En Cuendina hay carnaval
Cuendina es un barrio de la parroquia de Amaguaña-Ecuador. Para el barrio es la primera vez que se organiza un desfile por carnaval. Todo está bien organizado, los grupos de danzantes vecinos van llegando; los danzantes locales ultiman detalles. La gente se agrupa para observar desde sus casas los coloridos trajes que se bambolean por la calle. Articulando una amalgama de tradiciones latinoamericanas, empieza el desfile, impregnado de humor carnavalezco. Los danzantes atraviesan el barrio al paso del sol, muchos se cansan, los niños juegan y los ancianos bailan.

Cuendina is a neighborhood in the parish of Amaguaña-Ecuador. For the neighborhood it is the first time that a carnival parade has been organized. Everything is well organized, the groups of neighboring dancers are arriving; local dancers finalize details. People gather to watch from their homes the colorful costumes that swing down the street. Articulating an amalgam of Latin American traditions, the parade begins, imbued with carnival humor. The dancers cross the neighborhood to the movement of the sun, many get tired, the children play and the elderly dance.
