After years of population decline and habitat loss, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) officially added the monarch species to its Red List as endangered in July 2022. To fully understand the impact of the Monarch Butterfly on ecosystems and how to move forward with their conservation, individuals and communities must learn about what makes these insects so incredibly unique and critical to local and global environments. Throughout the years, iLCP photographers and filmmakers have visually documented every stage of the monarch's life cycle.
