My name is Abdishukri Haybe and I'm an award-winning freelance photographer and visual storyteller based in Kismayo, Somalia who specializes in capturing expressive images of the living world. I began to take photos in 2015 when I came to Kismayo to document the rapidly changing life in the town.
Over the last six years, I have worked with various media outlets, NGO's and local businesses in Somalia. I use photography to showcase the untold stories of Somali people and their daily struggle and I'm very enthusiastic in changing the Somali narratives through visual storytelling.
