The summer of 2019 will be remembered by the Puerto Ricans as one of the greatest they ever had.

A leaked Telegram chat ignited the rage that lead to the resignation of Ricardo Rosselló as Governor of Puerto Rico. About two weeks of daily protest were enough to end the mandate of Rosselló. In a matter of a month, Puerto Rico had 3 governors and a legacy of strong people that remind me that when the people focus the protest on a single point, results can be achieved.

I’ve in many protest in Puerto Rico over the last 5 years. None on of them like the ones on the Summer of 2019. People from every part of the island were protesting. No matter what party they used to vote, no matter race, color, age, religion, gender, social class, everybody was united asking for one thing: “Ricky Renuncia” (Resign Ricky).
