I am a Southeast Alaskan writer and photographer who is deeply passionate about the power of story for inspiring positive social and environmental change.

My photography and writing have been published with local and international magazines and news outlets including Anchorage Daily News, the Juneau Empire, Edible Alaska, Modern Huntsman, Patagonia, High Country News, and Whetstone.

I am a proud first generation college graduate who holds a Masters of Science in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management from the University of Oxford’s School of Geography and a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Neuroscience and Fine Arts from the University of San Francisco.

As the Communications Director with the Sustainable Southeast Partnership, I work with a collective impact network of tribal governments, entrepreneurs, conservation organizations, and individuals across Southeast Alaska using storytelling as a mechanism for building cultural, ecological, and economic prosperity. In that role, I often mentor emerging rural storytellers.

I learned photography through a life-long apprenticeship with my mother and believe firmly that beautiful images are created through intimacy and love for the place and people pictured.

When I am not behind the camera, you will find me hunting, fishing, foraging, surfing, splitboarding, camping, and processing all sorts of tasty wild foods in the Tongass National Forest, home.
