The family has no electricity or water at home and have to walk for over a km to a spring to fetch water everyday. They have no choice but to use this for drinking and cooking as well, so it will be boiled. The project has benefitted them greatly, providing fresh fish and vegetables for the family. Tariro has also gained a lot of knowledge about farming and financial literacy and is able to implement these strategies in other aspects of her life. She has now started her own poultry and goat farming initiative.
