The ability to speak about and write about what you do helps you articulate a deeper meaning and clearer understanding of your work to a viewer. It also helps you to become a better artist by putting you in touch with your practice at a whole new level.
Translating your visual work into words is one of the hardest tasks that a visual artist has to do. In this seminar, Foley will reveal the foundation on which all personal statements are based. He will help you construct a detailed, succinct written description of your work. Mastering this task will give you a better understanding of how your work might be viewed, should be described and a framework that can be used to market it.
