For years, South Sudan is known for having one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world. It has shaken an entire generation and has become a burden for the health system. United Nations Population Fund is working in the city of Aweil on the Bahr El Ghazal region to keep births safe, pregnancies wanted and women protected.
