Decades of conflict have torn South Sudan a part but its people make sure they are always “looking smart”. Since 2015 I have been working in assignments for humanitarian organizations across the country and my attention was always caught by the style and resilience of people that I met. The conflict made government and the population extremely suspicious and street photography illegal with soldiers and common people ready to question and even detain or arrest anyone who shows a camera in public.
