The city of Goma, in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, is for the moment spared from the flow of lava that has invaded some villages located in the northeast of the city, following a volcanic eruption that was triggered on the northeast flank of the Nyiragongo volcano on Saturday, May 22, at around 6 p.m. local time. This Sunday morning, the intensity of the eruption seems to have decreased. Here, through these images, you can see how displaced people from Goma (children, pregnant women, elderly people and people with reduced mobility) went to Bukavu via boats, a neighboring town located 130 km away, to get out of the danger.
