Carnival time in New Orleans is know for the Second Line Parades hosted by "Krewes" from neighborhood Social Aid and Pleasure clubs. Featuring elaborate floats, costumes and brass bands. This festival season starts around the New Year and runs through Mardi Gras into the spring.
