Kendaka Power (2020) Follows a number of women in Aswan, Egypt, most single mothers, who’ve started home businesses to support their families. Increasingly, many women across Egypt are becoming the main or sole providers for their families. Having become widowed or married into an abused relationship. For women in Aswan, home businesses was the answer to balance between taking care of their family and providing for them. Women around Aswan are working in roof agriculture, homemade desserts and growing poultry in their back yards. They are the day to day heroines of our time. Story commissioned by Drosos Foundation.
