I am please to be part of the latest AfroFuture exhibition at NOAAM.  I have two pieces of work, digital composites in which I interpret Alexis Pauline Gumbs' speculative poem, M'Archive:  After the End of the World in which she exposes how we destroyed the world: the earth, the sky, the waters, the air and where the only path to survival is through a Black feminist metaphysics.

New Orleans African American Museum and Afrofuture Society are pleased to announce the opening of the annual juried show, Welcome to the Afrofuture: The Matrix of Creativity: Where the River Meets the Sea curated by writer, independent curator, and visual artist Kristina Kay Robinson and 2021 curatorial fellow Kennedi Andrus.
Opening Reception: Thursday, July 1st, 2021 6-9 pm 1417 Governor Nicholls Street New Orleans, LA 70116
General Admission $5

On view July 30th, 2022

About Afrofuture Society:
Afrofuture Society, founded in 2015 and is a membership-based platform for people of African descent in the visual arts community to connect to each other globally, across disciplines, and throughout the life cycles of our work. A placemaking model to guide the curation of Afrofuture Society as a site for arts professionals of African descent to re-member a Black future shaped by individual and intercommunal needs - one with a self-sustaining cultural ecology - without having to imbibe any particular Afrofuturistic aesthetic.
