Spencer Drate and Judith Salavetz (Drate/Salavetz) are award-winning creative directors/designers/authors/curators/radio personalities/media writers and designing for the famous in music including 25 inductees in the rock n' roll hall of fame Their legendary music design in major museums,galleries and MoMA,AIGA and The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame archival permanent collections,a pop-culture radio show interviewing the famous in pop-culture and reviewing events. Authored 21 visionary major pop-culture visually driven books. They have curated a "Rock Poster Show" at The CBGB Gallery and a "Special CD Packaging Show" at The One Club and both shows in nyc in the 1990s.Spencer is a NARAS selected 6 time Grammy judge and both Making Vinyl Event judges every year on the album packaging committee. Book mentioned in Anthony DeCurtis "Lou Reed: A Life" book and interviewed in John Foster "Album Art: New Music Graphics" book. Their Velvet Underground Design displayed in "The Velvet Underground Experience" in nyc Oct 10-Dec 30 2018. Spencer GRAMMY design nominated for co-designing with Talking Heads "Fear of Music" album in 1979. This album in a MoMA show and in The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame plus The MoMA archival permanent collections and credited. DRATE/SALAVETZ nominated for the 2019 National Design Award and they have won many major design awards.Curating a "Art of Vinyl Cover Show" (12" and 45s) to be radio syndicated/youtube and facebook in 2019. Spencer is administrator to the  "Vinyltalk" site on facebook and blog site to come. A lifetime legacy in design! Spencer was the first album designer interviewed on MTV/VH1.They both interviewed in major media and profiled in major pop-culture books. Spencer contributes articles to Punk Globe Magazine with huge reader demographics worldwide and interviewing the famous in music,film and pop-culture. Both are Making Vinyl Event judges every year and Spencer a 6 time selected judge on album packaging award committees.
