Taken at Washington Square market, on the first night of Chanukah 2021. The storm troopers arrived blasting wild club music and singing Dayenu. A woman was handing out doughnuts – I ate 3 or 4, a last meal as the storm troopers wielded their guns and blasted us with cold, wet, dense, substance. Ryan said it was snow and I prayed it was so.
It was chaos. Kids were lost in the impenetrable fog. It felt like anything could happen.
And it all happened under the twinkling lights of tower one.
