Dominique Hildebrand is a visual editor and storyteller. Her work focuses on the fluidity of memory imprinted upon physical structures and the natural world.

She is currently a photo editor for the environment desk at National Geographic based in Washington D.C. Dominique is also the co-chair for National Geographic’s LGBTQIA+ employee resource group. As an out and proud Queer woman, she strives to ensure a safe and inclusive work environment so everyone can show up authentically as themselves every day.

Previously, Dominique was a Nat Geo photo editing intern and received her bachelor's in photojournalism from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. Dominique is a master’s candidate at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a focus on multimedia, photography, and design.

While not working for Nat Geo, or on her master’s thesis, Dominique spends time with her two cats or can be found exploring or planning the next adventure.
