Adenike Ibidola Sogbesan, also known as Dola Posh or IbiDola, is a visual artist and storyteller based in Hertfordshire, England. Early in her career, she worked as a portrait photographer with families and brands such as Coca-cola, Google, Bloomberg, SCG Holdings, Pulse, Miele etc.
In 2018, she relocated from her hometown of Nigeria to London to continue furthering her career. Currently, her work is focused on portraiture, lifestyle photography, and personal visual narratives through self-portraiture.
Making photographs is one of her greatest joys; Dola works from the landscape of her imagination and focuses on telling the stories of everyday life. She finds inspiration in nature and her culture and tradition as a black Yoruba-Nigerian woman. She loves to share her ideas with creators and has created workshops teaching photography to groups such as the General Electric Lagos garage and other young photographers.
Dola Posh is dedicated to photography and believes in growing creativity in people’s hearts because it is the only thing that genuinely makes life beautiful.
When she is not with her Camera, she explores life, eats pasta, writes, creates props, curates ideas, or spends time with her family, husband, and child.
She is also a member of Black Women Photographers (BWP).
