Private Story
Sakartvelo
Views on the current form of the coast vary: for some, it is a place of dramatic sceneries or holiday memories, for others a disappointing result of liberal construction policies that becomes desolate as soon as the summer season ends. Temporary Views explores the constants and variables of this distinct place through photography, archival material and written accounts of locals who inhabit the coast all-year-round. It also creates a multi-layered visual story examining how humans and nature influence each other on what is now one of Europe’s most unique – and vulnerable - coastlines.
