Diana Takacsova is a visual storyteller whose work evolves around questions of identity, physical and emotional connection to place, migration, and the human relationship to nature and environment. She bridges the factual and metaphorical by utilising various ways of storytelling, and explores personal narratives in the topics she is drawn to. She is also an adventure photographer passionate about exploring lesser known destinations.
Diana is a Slovak Press Photo award recipient (2016) and nominee (2018) whose work is published in print and online across Europe. A member of Women Photograph, she grew up in the Hungarian minority in Slovakia, is currently based between Brussels, Belgium and Bratislava, Slovakia, but feels home in motion.
