Mike Denning

Mike Denning Ubua is a Nigerian contemporary artist, born in a country where art, especially contemporary art, is glossed over without even a second thought, Denning has been able to create pure magic that grabs the attention of everyone that encounters his work.

He started experimenting with visual arts at 17, drawing his inspiration from music, books and life’s challenges in his environment. He also started his journey on self-development and realised he could use his art to impact society.

He aims to use art to tell stories that bring out different ideologies in society and to understand and accept views that are not the norm. He hopes to bring across to people, fresh perspectives, showing them that there’s beauty in diversity.
