Several thousand people filled Windrush Square in Brixton, London, Saturday to protest against African Holocaust (Maangamizi) triggered by the slave trade 400 years ago. Protesters from all parts of Africa occupied several stages where life music often with political texts gathered crowds. In the afternoon they were joined by a Black Reformist Movement march from Clapham Common lead by FF Force (Forever Family) - a military style group apparently inspired by the Black Panthers movement making their first public appearance in London. Also marching were Rememberthe400 (in reference to 400 years of slavery) group. Whilst the African demonstration in Brixton was organised in cooperation with Extension Rebellion which took on blocking the roads around Windrush Square, clearly none of the three participating bodies were fully integrated.
