About 30 thousand people joined Saturday's protest against lockdown restrictions in the UK. The crowd marched from Hyde Park, flooding Oxford Street and returning via the centre back to Speaker's corner, all under a light watch of police. Largely peaceful demonstration descended into violence after officers decided to disperse the crowd later in the evening. The Met said demonstrators hurled missiles, including bottles as eight police officers sustained injuries and five protesters were arrested.
